I tried to be funny today… And it was really funny. I reached school at around 0925h and was kinda ready for any lecturing for being late. Well, I have my reasons, so maybe that is why I just dun seem to be afraid of anything ^^ Anyhow, I was made to wait for the OM to usher us to the office.
Wanna know what were some of the funny things late-comers are supposed to do? Hmmm, we had to wait for the noble OM to come over no matter what happens. Next, he would ask us to stand under the sun on the pavement facing the flag and sing the National Anthem.
Ha, this is really funny… I told him I aint a local citizen, so I was excused, but the other dude-like student had to sing… Thing is, I figured out she could not sing the full length of the anthem! Worst, she said We, the citizens of the United Nations and I went, huh? That sounds SO wrong, can?
All right, after that, we were ushered to the office and he recorded our names and stuff. Because that dude was late pretty frequently, she had to stay behind and do self-study – detention-like style. I freaked out a lil – you mean I am gonna suffer the same fate?
When it was finally my turn, I gave him all the necessary information he wanted. After which, he asked how many times I was late, and I blurted One time only. He repeated what I said but I managed to get away scot-free after saying my reason - I’d to bring my sista to see the doctor I said (and I reckoned, full of confidence and w/o any hint of fear). He asked for my card, which apparently, I did not bring. You want my IC instead? I dun mind, I (actually) said that. He just grunted a No need and let me off. Ha, it was more fun than I had imagined it to be =) And yes, Mr. Handsome, I am late.
